Mild swelling and bruising are normal. Apply cold compresses to reduce swelling. Avoid rubbing your eyes. Wearing sunglasses is recommended.
Bruising gradually fades. Light activities may be resumed after 5 to 7 days. Avoid strenuous physical activity and sun exposure.
Final results are visible after 3 months. Scars have become discreet and well-blended. A rejuvenated, open and rested appearance.
Blepharoplasty is a safe and well-established procedure. Serious complications are rare when performed by a qualified surgeon.
Swelling and bruising in the first few days. These disappear within 10 to 14 days. Managed with local aftercare.
Haematoma, infection, atypical healing. Monitored during post-operative follow-up.

No, blepharoplasty is performed under local anaesthetic. You will feel no pain during the procedure. The recovery period is relatively pain-free, with mainly swelling and bruising in the first few days.
Generally after 5 to 7 days for office work. The bruising can be easily concealed with make-up from day 7 onwards.
The results are long-lasting — usually 10 to 15 years. Natural ageing continues, but the improvement remains visible in the long term.
