The Picolaser emits ultra-short laser pulses (picoseconds) that break down ink pigments into microscopic particles. These particles are then naturally eliminated by the body’s lymphatic system. Generally 5 to 10 sessions, depending on the size, colours and age of the tattoo. Picolaser requires on average 30 to 50% fewer sessions than conventional lasers.
The Picolaser is effective on all colours (black, blue, red, green, yellow). Light colours such as white or very light yellow respond less well. Your doctor will assess this during the consultation.
The anaesthetic cream applied 45 minutes beforehand significantly reduces pain. The sensation is comparable to quick, light taps. It is significantly less painful than conventional lasers.
