Hydration

Maintain intensive moisturisation after the peel. A repairing cream and gentle skincare products are recommended for 1 week.

Maintenance treatment

A maintenance peel once or twice a year helps maintain the results. Your doctor will suggest a skincare plan tailored to your skin.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your questions about medical peels

Find answers to the questions our patients ask most often before booking an appointment

It depends on the treatment plan and the desired outcome. A superficial peel produces results from the very first session. For blemishes or scars, a course of 3 to 6 sessions is often recommended.

For a superficial peel, yes, immediately. For a deeper peel (TCA), you may need to avoid social engagements for 3 to 5 days whilst the skin is peeling.

No, superficial and medium peels cause little pain. A sensation of warmth or tingling may be felt during application. A painkiller may be prescribed if necessary.

It is not recommended to have a peel during periods of intense sun exposure. Autumn and winter are the best times. Rigorous sun protection is essential in all seasons.

A medical peel uses higher concentrations of acids and formulations reserved for doctors. The results are significantly better and longer-lasting.
